Salaah (Prayer)

Salaah (Prayer) is the 2nd pillar from the pillars of Islam & the most important pillar of Islam after the Shahadah.

The 5 daily prayers have set times, the beginning & end of which are well defined, & the prayer must be offered on time. Allah says:

❝ Verily, As‑Salaah (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours ❞ [al-Nisa’ ,103]

This indicates that the prayers are obligatory and have set times, and are not valid at other times. These times are well established among the Muslims, young and old, knowledgeable and ignorant, and they learned that from their Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who said: “Pray as you have seen me praying.”
